What are the things I need to do when checking a machine to see if it is working correctly?
This is a list of the things you should do when testing a machine for possible purchase. Don't take the sellers work for it, see that it works with your own eyes.
Machine pre-check:
Turn the machine on and make sure it powers up.
Change the head from one end to the other to make sure it moves without binding.
Check the pantograph to make sure that it moves left and right, front and back.
Do a trim and make sure all the heads are working.
Sew out Test:
Load a design (preferably from your own thumb drive) into the machine.
Sew out an H pattern in flat mode on all needles and on all heads. Click here to download the H test: H-Test.DST
Change it over to cap mode and sew out caps.
